Beware that you may NOT be focusing on the little things that matter. Getting anywhere different than where you are today physically, mentally, and/or spiritually comes not from massive leaps but from small actions over time. This blog post is one of those little things…
It’s so funny how often I find myself distracted or “planning” but yet I miss the things that are most important, in this case, for my business. I made it to where I am today not from instantaneous effort but from small actions, daily. When I first got started with building my online empire I started with videos and blogging. It took awhile but I just kept showing up and sharing, I didn’t sell anything besides my story. I showed up and shared the good with the bad and that’s what helped me show how real P90X and Beachbody Coaching can be if you want it.
But here is the kicker, I found myself not doing these basic little actions after awhile. Once I started to have success and of course put more focus in Team areas I somehow forgot the most fundamental thing that got me here today… videos and blogging! So here I am making the effort to execute my new plan of action, doing the little things that matter!
The only way I can build my business online is to share HOW my products and business change my life and of course how they can do the same for others. I do this by DOING and then sharing my journey, results, struggles, etc. This is how I connect with others. People turn online to find real people using products they see on TV because they don’t quite believe yet. If I stop doing the basics and sharing my story then nobody knows I am a Coach and nobody knows I use the program. That’s how important the basics are!
So even though today’s post is simply my effort to take action this also serves as a mirror for others who maybe fell in the same boat (or out of the boat??).
Quite simply traffic + leads = business or positive ROI.
If you’re not doing the little things that connect you with others then you have no traffic, if you have no traffic then where are your leads, and if you have no traffic or leads than you have no business, you have a monthly cost.
So if you are stuck in the “plan land” or maybe you’re worrying how pretty your website looks or how professional your facebook page is, or maybe how to create the best intro/outtro for your Youtube videos… Forget it! Focus on the basic, simple, little actions that result in success. If you’re online you should have a Blog and you should be creating videos, hands down. You should do this every single week! I know it’s not easy to build a discipline but it will come through practice.
Hopefully my realization will be a positive impact for you also. Start DOING more and planning a little less, don’t worry about the bells and whistles if you don’t have anyone to show it to! Meaning, if your website has no traffic you should be focused on sharing valuable content FIRST. Believe me, an ugly site is bad but a pretty site with no content is just as bad. You can always hire someone when you make a little money back from your opportunity to invest in a Blog face lift.
So your step now is to write a blog post immediately or make a video. Post it up tonight. Get it done!

Of course while he is referring to little things as little cares and little worries that take your mind off the prize I feel it still fits in this situation. Except in this case I will paraphrase as “people who neglect the little things that cheat them out of big opportunity”.
