Who would of thought that nearly 3 years ago a simple video would lead to a life-long friendship and travels across the Country? Well, that’s exactly what happened! The photo above was snapped on flight to Oregon as I departed Fort Lauderdale, FL.
In my standard fashion I will share a quick video with you (no, really – It’s only 2 minutes!)
But before I do I am going to answer 2 questions for you. Why am I traveling to Oregon and what did I mean about a simple video 3 years ago that made this all come to fruition?
My great friend Charles Leslie invited me to fly out to be a groomsman in his wedding. Something a friend would do, right? Well what if I told you that we met through Youtube in 2009 from a simple video (this is the video) I made as I was beginning my P90X workout and Beachbody Coach journey.
That’s exactly what happened! I firmly believe that we are in a new age. Often times I have heard older generations say that the Internet detracts from real relationships. Well, while I do agree that technology can take to much priority I also believe that we live in a MUCH SMALLER world where technology can create friendships and interactions unlike any in history.
Technology is a double edged sword. Useful in many ways but also deadly in others. But hey, that’s not what this post is about! I just wanted to share that through the use of technology, I created a video. I shared this video with the world which was revealed as Chaz searched online. If I had not made that video, I very well may not be sitting here in Oregon today!
While Chaz has to work today we have an entire week full of crazy awesomeness! From Class 5 white water rafting, to hiking, to something Chaz will not reveal yet and all topped with watching my great friend take a new step in life as he marries his love. I know this week will be unforgettable!
